Rau police

have arrested ten accused in connection with a fraud case for duping Rs 3.78 lakh from an Indian Army rifleman in name of investing in an advisory firm promising for good return, police said.

The police also recovered bank details of about five crore fraud from the accused along with properties and assets of over one crore, laptops, 50 debit, credit cards, laptops , mobile phones,

, posted to 19th BN of Assam rifles against the accused for duping him for Rs 3.78 lakh through email, police said.

The police acting on complaint registered a FIR under sections 420,409, 120-B, 34, 467, 468 of IPC fraud, forgery, criminal conspiracy and others, police said.

said that kingpin of the gang Amit Barfa used to collect mobile numbers through google ads and transfer it to Pawan Tiwari.

Pawan with help of software shared it to their team, who called identified persons asking them to invest in advisory firms to get good return. Initially, they ask for a very small amount and provide a good return to the investors, said police commissioner Mishra.

When the person got trapped in their allurement, they then asked for bigger investment. On getting a large amount, they replaced their number and didn’t return their money to investors, police commissioner Mishra said. “The police got details of these persons duping multiple people of Rs 5 crore”, police commissioner Mishra said.
