real estate project, has been directed to submit two affidavits before Special Investigation Team regarding his assets and his agreement with a construction company.

The meeting was held on Monday at city hotel in which SIT discussed the mode of repayment of funds to

finance

company LnT finance, with which the land and flats had been mortgaged by the builder.

The SIT proposed to make payment to LnT finance in phases in exchange of giving ownership rights over land and flats to complete the project. However, LnT finance sought time to seek further instructions regarding this from their seniors.

The SIT directed accused Ashish Das to submit before next date of hearing details of his total assets. The team also asked Das to submit on affidavit the status of his contract with JD constructions company with whom Das had tied up for completing the project. The SIT has sought details of the agreement and if it was legally terminated by parties or not.

“While proposed agencies for construction of the incomplete project were also present before the SIT, none of them were finalized on Monday for the project,” AK Sethi, counsel for land owner Deepak Kalra said. The next date for SIT hearing has been fixed for October 21.

While the SIT has assessed all the claims, there are certain issues with regard to identity of the flat owner and payee in some cases which will be resolved by the SIT at a later stage.

Relator Ashish Das has been accused of committing fraud to the tune of Rs. 800 crore in the Pinnacle Dreams project of Indore. Multiple cases have been registered against Das at Indore’s Vijay Nagar, Lasudia and Tejaji Nagar police stations.
