's) board of directors on Monday approved as many as five new schemes to develop residential and commercial properties along with major roads costing around Rs 1,750 crore. Administrative sanction has also been granted to develop two flyovers at Khajrana and Luv Kush Square by spending total about Rs 137.50 crore on it.

“In the board meeting, we have approved developing five new schemes after clearing around 700 claims and objections received in this regard” the chairman Jaypal Singh Chawda said, adding that the proposals have been sent to the state government for its consent. “New five schemes including TPS-1, TPS-3, TPS-4, TPS-5 and TPS-8 are expected to start by June this year while the priority will be given to road projects as part of said schemes” he said.

He added that a total 29km roads will be developed under said five schemes.

As per the plan, TPS-1 will be developed in 49.079 hectares area in Khajrana with a cost of Rs 145.73 Crore while TPS-3 will be developed in 143.382 hectares area in Lasudia Mori, Talawali Chanda, Arandiya and

Mayakhedi

area with a cost of Rs 335.5 Crore. In TPS-4, 85.387 hectares of land will be developed for residential, transportation and a master plan road by spending Rs 215.83 Crore.

Residential plots and master plan road will be a part of TPS-5 in 159.544 hectares of land in Kanadia area by spending Rs 346.96 Crore while TPS-8 will be developed in a total 301.842 hectares of land in Bhawrasala, Kumedi, Bhangya, Kailodhala,

Sudiyamori

, Talawali Chanda, Shakarkhedi and Arandiya village with a cost of Rs 706.67 Crore.

and IDA CEO Vivek Shrotriya also provided administrative approval of Rs 57.5 Crore (+ GST) to develop a six-lane bridge at Khajrana Square while a six-lane flyover will be developed at Luv Kush Square.

This apart, IDA officials are examining feasibility to develop nine flyovers at as many major squares of the city to help ease traffic congestion.

In the meeting, IDA also decided to name its under-construction near MR-10 bridge. TNN
