India vs Bharat is not BJP’s agenda, says Vijayvargiya

Indore: BJP national general secretary Kailash Vijayvargiya on Saturday said that it was not his party’s agenda to set any debate between India and Bharat.“BJP doesn’t have any such agenda and it’s not even a subject (to discuss). We don’t know how it came about and a debate started on it. We didn’t initiate it…. It is, however, people’s demand as the name India was given by the British and the country should be addressed as Bharat. It’s also mentioned in Puranas that describe the geographical area between oceans in south and the Himalayas in north as Bharat,” he said while addressing a press conference in Indore. “It’s however not BJP’s subject and we are not making any plan to create any difference between India and Bharat,” he said.On some party leaders switching over to Congress, Vijayvargiya said, “BJP had given entry to Congress leaders in wholesale and now, they are doing it in retail. The party will not face any difficulty from these switchovers to the opposition parties.”Talking about resentment among party workers as seen in the ongoing Jan Ashirwad Yatra, the BJP leader said, “When a party becomes a mass party and retains government for a long time, such incidents are reported. But when we persuade them, they also understand things”.“I had contested my last election from Mhow assembly seat in 2013 and have decided not to contest any polls. However, if the party fields me, I will not deny and take the challenge,” he said.

CM to lead BJPs Jan Ashirwad Yatra in Indore today

BJP's Jan Ashirwad Yatra, led by CM Shivraj Singh Chouhan, will pass through six constituencies in Indore. Repair work on the roads has been started by the Indore Municipal Corporation. BJP leaders frequent visits to Raj wont make any difference: Pilot

Congress leader Sachin Pilot criticized the BJP for its frequent visits to the state and lack of faith in local leadership. Pilot also questioned the urgency and changes made to the women's reservation bill, calling it a stunt to mislead people.
