Three of a family killed, younger son critically injured in an accident in Indore

INDORE: Three people including a couple and their elder son were killed whereas their younger son was seriously injured when their bike was hit by a bus on Indore Ujjain road late night on Wednesday.

The accident took place near Ringdonia village when a bus belonging to Baneshwari Travels collided with the motorcycle ridden by Mahendra Solanki. Mahendra, his wife Jayashri, and their elder son Jigar died on the spot, while their younger son Tejas sustained severe injuries. The family was on their way towards Teen Imli at the time of the crash.

Eyewitnesses and preliminary police investigation revealed that the bus driver was on his mobile phone while speeding. Passengers inside the bus had reportedly warned him to slow down, but he ignored the requests and continued at high speed.

The accident triggered outrage among locals at the site, who smashed the bus windows and attempted to set the vehicle on fire. Police, however, reached in time and managed to bring the situation under control.

Authorities confirmed that an investigation is underway, and action will be taken against those responsible.
The younger son Tejas is being treated in the ICU at Aurobindo Hospital.
