Indore: A 19-year-old youth hanged himself from the ceiling of his residence in Solanki Nagar on Thursday.

The incident came to the fore in the morning when members of his family went to his room to check up on him. They found him hanging and rushed him to the hospital where he was declared dead on arrival.

Members of Nihal Bhuriya’s family claimed that he had been tense since Wednesday morning and had been speaking to a girl. He was a first year student of BCom.

On Wednesday night he had been continuously receiving calls from the girl but did not pick any of them up. Seeing that he was tense, his brother tried to speak to him about it but he did not say anything, family members told

police. Around 2:00am, he came to his brother’s room and slept near him.

In the morning when his brother did not find him, he went to his room and found him hanging.

“We have not recovered any suicide note from the deceased. His body has been sent for post mortem examination and a case has been registered in the matter. We are in the process of interrogating family members and friends of the youth. His mobile phone and laptop is also being checked,” said Prashant Yadav, Vijay Nagar police station in-charge.
