2 boys drown in village pond in Jaipur

Jaipur: Two boys who were playing with their friends slipped into an agricultural farm pond and died before help could arrive at a village under Kotkhawada in Jaipur on Sunday. Kotkhawada SHO Vijay Singh said that the deceased were identified as Vikas Kumar (10), and Sachin Gurjar (13) both residents of a nearby village. “The other children, upon returning to the pond and not finding Vikas and Sachin, immediately called for help. Following the incident, a group of villagers gathered at the farm and initiated a frantic search for the two boys. With the assistance of the locals, we conducted an arduous operation for over an hour and retrieved the bodies of the two boys,” he said. TNN
