ALWAR/JAIPUR: Two students from Rajasthan have been selected in the group of students who will witness the landing of Chandrayaan-2 on

on September 7 in Bengaluru.


Prabhat Singh of Army Public School in Kanjoli line,

Alwar

and Garima Sharma of Churu has been selected to witness the historic moment. They were selected after they outperformed other participants in Rajasthan.

They answered 20 questions in 10 minutes during an online Space Quiz contest by ISRO. The exam was held from August 10 to 25.

Prabhat is a student of class X. He has keen interest in space science and would like to become a space scientist. Garima, a student of Kendriya Vidhlaya, has also expressed to become an astronaut. “My role model is former president APJ Abdul Kalam. I get inspired from his life and I love his inspirational stories,” said Garima, who has a question for PM Narendra Modi.

“I would like to ask him what the source of his energy is. How he manages to work so tirelessly for the nation?” said Garima.

A total of 70 students have been selected to attend the program with an average of two students from every state.
