5 of kin beat youth to death in Churu village

Jaipur: A 22-year-old man was beaten to death and two others were injured in a violent clash between two families at Ghanghu village in Churu district, police said on Tuesday. The family was attacked on Sunday evening and the youth succumbed to injuries on Monday. Police said that based on the complaint given by the father, a case of murder has been lodged against five persons. Police said, the clash took place when three youths were returning after offering namaz at a mosque in their village under Sadar police station area. “These youths were attacked by at least five persons with batons and iron rods. One of them, Farman Khan, 22, was seriously injured and succumbed on way to a hospital in Jaipur during early hours of Monday,” said an officer. He said that a man named Yusuf Khan Kayamkhani gave a complaint after the incident stating that Jaffar Khan and his family members had been making death threats to his family members. “On Sunday evening he was returning along with his nephews Aarif Khan and Farman Khan when the accused, identified as Jaffar Khan, Imran Khan, Irfan Khan, Muqsood Khan and Shamsher Khan, attacked them with iron rods and plastic pipes,” said a police officer quoting from the FIR lodged by Yusuf Khan.
