Jaisalmer: After a gap of almost three-and-a-half years, meetings between India and Pakistan border guards to resolve border disputes have started again.
A meeting of the BSF and Pakistani Rangers at the battalion commander level was organised at the international border adjoining Munabao on Tuesday.
At the meeting held on the Indian side, the BSF delegation was led by commandant GL Meena while Pakistan Ranger commandant Lt Gen Murad Ali led their delegation.
Barmer DIG Vineet Kumar said BSF also raised the issue of Pakistan shepherds entering the Indian side.
According to BSF sources, the meeting discussed peace and security issues.
The issue of two youths, Gemraram and Shabeer Ahmad, languishing in a Pakistan jail was also raised. TNN
