Jaipur: Rashtriya Loktantrik Party (RLP) chief and Lok Sabha MP Hanuman Beniwal condemning the religious slurs used by Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) MP Ramesh Bidhuri against Danish Ali, a fellow MP from the Bahujan Samaj Party, said “the way former union minister (Harshvardhan) and senior BJP MPs were laughing, makes it clear that this was sponsored by the BJP.”Bidhuri used derogatory words against Ali while speaking in the Lok Sabha on Thursday. Speaker Om Birla later expunged those words. Union minister Rajnath Singh had expressed regret for the remarks.“The spirit with which indecent words were used by the BJP MP in the Lok Sabha against MP Kunwar Danish Ali is condemnable. Such words have no place in democratic values and in a sacred house like the Parliament House,” Beniwal wrote on ‘X’, earlier known as Twitter.“While giving a speech in the new Parliament House, the Prime Minister had said that the behavior of the MPs will decide who will sit where. But the kind of language used by the MP from his own party again made it clear to the people of the country the contrast in the words and actions of the BJP,” he added.Ali wrote to Lok Sabha Speaker Om Birla demanding an investigation by the privileges committee into Bidhuri's “most foul” comments.
