Bills on Rajasthan government flagship schemes to be presented
JAIPUR: The Congress parliamentary party meeting will be held at chief minister’s residence at 7pm on Wednesday, ahead of the assembly session that is beginning on June 27. A cabinet meeting is also scheduled on Wednesday. The ruling party will discuss the strategy to counter an aggressive opposition BJP after the Congress party faced a total wipe out in the recent parliamentary elections.

PCC president and deputy chief minister Sachin Pilot on Tuesday while speaking to the media on the upcoming assembly session said, “We are ready to answer every issue, the Opposition should raise issues of public interest.” The Congress government which had promised a right-based system of administration is now working on providing healthcare as citizen’s right. The previous UPA government had started the era of rights in the country by giving the right to information, right to education, food security, MGNREGA. We now want that people get right to health in the state,” Gehlot said at a function recently.
Right to Health was also promised by the Congress in its election manifesto during the December 2018 assembly elections in the state.
The Congress had promised quality health services to citizens through a right to health law.
Through the Rajasthan Social Accountability Bill, the government intends to ensure the right of every person or group of persons to get time-bound delivery of goods and services and be entitled for redressal of complaints, with the provision for penalty on erring officials and compensation to the public. This would make the government servants accountable.
Similarly, the government is set to introduce a bill to protect the depositors from dubious companies which duped the investors promising them exorbitant returns.
