CS sets 30-day deadline to strengthen Raj’s cyber security framework
Jaipur: Chief Secretary V. Srinivas Thursday directed officials to make Cyber Helpline 1930 “more robust and effective” by implementing a detailed policy plan within 30 days, after chairing a high-level review meeting on cybercrime control at the Police Headquarters.
Srinivas ordered an increase in the number of telephone lines and call operators under Helpline 1930 by June 15 to improve access for victims. He also instructed that a monthly report on cybercrime complaint redressal be published regularly.
Cyber police stations have been asked to share daily achievements on social media, while artificial intelligence technology will be integrated to improve the helpline’s efficiency.
During the meeting, Srinivas reviewed the structure and functioning of the Cyber Crime Cell, the implementation of Helpline 1930, and investigation processes in cybercrime cases. Expressing concern over the growing threat of cybercrime, he stressed the need to strengthen technical capabilities and coordination for quicker action and prevention.
Srinivas also announced a monthly review mechanism to monitor the performance of the state’s 41 cyber security police stations. Special workshops will be organised for officers, and officials will analyse the time taken between reporting cybercrime cases and blocking related bank accounts to ensure faster relief to victims.
