Jaipur: Two-day folk music and dance extravaganza ‘Momasar festival’ enthrals audiences
JAIPUR: It was an enriching experience for folk music lovers as they were enthralled with the captivating performances by more than 200 artistes and craftsman at the two-day

“Various artistes travelled from far flung areas of Rajasthan and from various countries to join the musical extravaganza with rare and unique performances. Non-resident Rajasthanis also come down to their native place to enjoy the treat. We have also invited college students to see the folk crafts of Rajasthan so that they get aware of the folk arts,” said Vinod Joshi, one of the organiser of the festival told TOI on Tuesday
“It was a kind of musical colloboration in which our musicians, folk singers and dancers got a chance to perform with internationally accalimed artistes,” he added.
Visitors were extremely thrilled and fascinated by seeing the unique arts like of story telling by Phad Painting. Not only that forgotten crafts like Peedha Making, Kawad, Fire Painting were also been showcased that literally lot of people to their childhood and remembrance of true Rajasthan.
Another USP of the festival was that visitors were allowed to freely mingle with artistes and local residents, which makes it an n enriching experience for all of them.
These two days of Momasar Utsav, celebrations flow through the streets and narrow by-lanes of the entire town in which more than 200 artists, 10,000 people from over 30 villages, town and cities participated in the festival.
