New drinking water scheme

Jaipur: Public Health Engineering Department (PHED) minister Mahesh Joshi will inaugurate a drinking water scheme under the Bisalpur II Project on Tuesday morning in Prithviraj Nagar. “This scheme will benefit a projected population of 4.7 lakh in 2051 living in around 924 colonies,” said a PHED engineer. No PHED panel yet for promotion of engineers

The delay in implementing the departmental promotional committee for the Public Health and Engineering Department (PHED) in Jaipur is causing a negative impact on the department's day-to-day work. Due to this delay, the urban development and housing department (UDH) has transferred projects under Amrut 2.0 from PHED to the Rajasthan Urban Drinking Water Sewerage & Infrastructure Corporation (RUDSICO). There are concerns whether the DPC for PHED and water resources department (WRD) will be implemented this year. The Rajasthan State Engineering Services Association (RSESA) has requested the department heads to implement the DPC.

Chennai Metrowater's Anakaputhur water supply improvement scheme inaugurated

Chennai Metrowater's water supply improvement scheme in Anakaputhur, Tambaram Corporation, worth Rs 18.88 crore was inaugurated by Municipal administration and water supply minister KN Nehru. The scheme, which started in 2014, will benefit approximately 60,000 individuals. The inauguration event was attended by several ministers and officials.

Gift deed scheme: 43K benefited

Over 43,574 individuals in Lucknow have benefited from the state government's Gift Deed Scheme, which allows property transfer to blood relatives for a stamp duty of only Rs 5,000. Previously, individuals had to pay stamp duty equivalent to the prevailing circle rate. Last year, over 2.56 lakh people took advantage of the scheme, which was implemented for six months. Since the announcement of the scheme, registrations have also increased.
