Officers at Jaipur civic body get charge of zones

JAIPUR: Civic body chairman Vijay Pal Singh on Wednesday carried out a rejig in the corporation to fill up the posts which were rendered vacant following the transfer of four DCs.


A JMA official said, “A few RAS officers were recently transferred to the

JMC

, but they were sitting idle without any posting. This is a good decision as the downward situation of the zones in case of sanitation and civic amenities will be monitored properly.”

Abha Beniwal, already fire DC at JMC, has now been given additional charge of Mansarovar Zone. R K Mehta from veterinary department has been transferred to Civil Lines Zone and Harshit Verma has been given the charge of Hawa Mahal Zone to veterinary and health-2.

For the post of Health-1, Devendra Jain has been appointed. There are thousands of complaints pending in various zones. As per one JMC official, the complaints have not been properly resolved because of lack of superior officials.
