Manish Saini gang

late on Sunday evening while allegedly planning to eliminate a member of the rival Gangan Pandit gang in the city.


Police have also seized three semi-sophisticated pistols, one country made pistol and 45 cartridges from the gang. Police said that they have also received information on people who had supplied the firearms illegally to the gang.

Addressing a press conference along with deputy commissioner of police (east) Rahul Jain on Monday, additional commissioner of police (crime) Prasan Kumar Khamesara said, “We were already tracking illegal peddling of arms in Jaipur and collecting information. The technical surveillance teams were already on alert and were giving us important inputs.”

In the course of collecting information, it was found that jailed criminal Manish Saini was in touch with one ‘Kranti Gang’ of Haryana, led by Manish Bhandari, a criminal from Haryana lodged in the jail. “Saini wanted to eliminate one Rupa Meena, a member of the rival Gangan Pandit gang (Pandit is already on the run in a firing case). So, three persons, including Phool Chand, Surendra Rundla and Dinesh Prajapat (all members of the Saini gang) did a recce in Jaipur along with members of the Haryana gang to carry out the plan. After the recce, the Haryana team promised to return after five to six days,” Khamesara said.

Already on alert, the Jaipur police received specific input that all the three were residing in a rented accommodation at Nagrik Nagar of

Sanganer

on Sunday evening. “We raided the place and arrested the three. We also seized three semi-sophisticated, one country-made pistol and 45 cartridges from their possession,” said Jain.

During interrogation, it was revealed that Saini was in touch with the Kranti Gang of Haryana and the arms seized were delivered at Kaman area of Bharatpur. “Further interrogation is on to strengthen the case further,” he added.
