Rahul to woo tribal votes in south Raj today

JAIPUR/UDAIPUR: Close on the heels of Congress’s tribal community leader Mahendrajeet Singh Malviya switching over to the BJP and bagging the saffron party’s ticket for the Banswara-Dungarpur Lok Sabha seat, Congress leader Rahul Gandhi is coming to Banswara with his Bharat Jodo Nyay Yatra on Thursday.

Gandhi will address a public meeting in the tribal heartland where the voters are divided among Congress, BJP, and the new outfit, Bharatiya Adivasi Party (BAP). The Congress is leaving no stone unturned to present Rahul’s meeting as a show of strength amidst Malviya’s attempt to engineer desertions from the grand old party to the BJP.

PCC Chief Govind Dotasra and party state incharge SS Randhawa reached Banswara on Wednesday to take stock of preparations for Rahul Gandhi's visit. Congress National President Mallikarjun Kharge will also participate in the Nyay Yatra.

AAP confirms joining Rahul Gandhi's 'Bharat Jodo Nyay Yatra' in Gujarat from March 7 to 10, along with a significant number of party workers and leaders. The yatra will commence at Jhalod in Dahod district, cover a distance of 467 km, and enter Maharashtra on March 10. Gujarat Congress invited AAP to join the yatra and AAP accepted the invitation.

Rahul Gandhi-led Bharat Jodo Nyay Yatra to cover 6,700 km across 15 states before Lok Sabha polls. Yatra enters Madhya Pradesh through Morena district and will stay till March 6 before moving to Gujarat.
