6 dead as car rams into trailer on Jaipur-Agra national highway
DAUSA: Six people were killed after a Swift Desire car collided head-on with a trailer late Tuesday night near Kailai on National Highway-21 in the Sikandra police station area of Dausa district, triggering chaos at the accident site.
According to officials, all the occupants of the car sustained serious injuries in the crash. Four injured were rushed to Sikandra Hospital, where doctors declared Lokesh, son of Govardhan Yogi, Dilkhush, son of Banwari Yogi, Manish, son of Harimohan Yogi, and Ankit, son of Lalaram Bairwa, dead. All four were residents of Kalakhoh village.
Two others who were critically injured were given first aid and referred to Dausa District Hospital. One of them, Samay, son of Ram Singh Yogi of Kalakhoh, was declared dead after examination. The other injured person, Naveen, son of Mahesh Yogi, was shifted to Jaipur for advanced treatment but succumbed to his injuries en route.
Dr. Vinod Meena, duty officer at Dausa District Hospital, said two injured from the accident near Kailai were brought to the hospital, one of whom was declared dead, while the other was referred to Jaipur. “Later, information was received that the referred patient also died during treatment,” he said, adding that the bodies have been kept in the mortuary.
Police reached the spot soon after being alerted, secured the area, and initiated an investigation to ascertain the cause of the accident. The families of the deceased have been informed.
