JAIPUR: A meeting of the state cabinet held under the chairmanship of chief minister Ashok Gehlot on Wednesday decided to provide government jobs to both the sons of Kanhaiya Lal by relaxing rules.
Kanhaiya Lal was brutally murdered in Udaipur on June 28 by Islamic fanatics.
This appointment will be done under Rule 6C of Rajasthan Subordinate Office Clerk Service (Amendment) Rules, 2008 and 2009. The meeting said following the incident the family is left with no other source of livelihood.
According to the present rules the appointment could be given to a single dependent of a person who died in the year 1992 or later in incidents like rebellions, terrorist attacks, agitations, dharnas, demonstrations, and rallies.
But there is no provision for a job to two persons in a family. So the rules were relaxed by the cabinet.
