Jaipur: The Rajasthan Squash Academy's players dominated the 80th CCI Western India Squash Championship in Mumbai, securing 5 medals, including 2 gold, across various categories.
Dhairya Gogia claimed gold in the U-13 boys, beating Maharashtra's Aeron Arambhan 11-5, 17-15, 11-5. Amay Mahajan pocketed gold in the mixed U-9, defeating Vaibhav VC 11-9, 11-3, 11-5, according to a press release issued by Rajasthan Squash Academy director Surbhi Misra here on Monday.
Farid Andrabi won silver in the U-15 boys as he lost to Maharashtra's Vivaan Khanna 5-11, 11-8, 11-7, 11-7 in the final. Divyanshi Jain took bronze in U-15 girls, edging past Maharashtra's Aashi Shah 14-12, 13-11, 11-6. Yuvan Verma also bagged bronze in the U-11 boys, ousting Delhi's Rudransh Prabhakar 5-11, 11-5, 15-17, 11-5, 11-6.
Gauri Jaiswal, Inaya Andrabi, and Lakshanya Rajawat finished fifth in the U-15 girls, U-11 girls, and U-9 mixed, respectively.
