Teachers at med colleges boycott work

Jaipur: Teachers at government medical colleges boycotted work on Saturday over their pending demands related to increase in salaries, time-bound promotions, and allowing medical college principals to approve foreign visits.
Resident doctors, senior resident doctors and medical officers provided treatment to patients during the day.
“The boycott of work was announced for all hospitals attached to government-run medical colleges in Jaipur, Jodhpur, Kota, Bikaner, Ajmer and Udaipur,” said Dr Pawan Singhal, president-elect of Medical College Teachers’ Association Rajasthan.
The teachers have been demanding that their promotions be done on the basis of National Medical Commission (NMC) guidelines and in a time-bound manner. TNN
