started doing rounds on social media when the the actor posted a picture on Wednesday of him with a girl.The image's caption, `To A New Beginning...17 August' fuelled the rumours further.Soon, people started congratulating the actor on his timeline, including TV actress and Bigg Boss co-contestant Sana Khan. The actor went live on Facebook the next day (Thursday, Aug 17) clarifying the confusion. “I am not getting married. The image was from my short film titled To A New Beginning which has been released online today (August 17),“ Rajev said in the video.

Talking to us, Rajev said, “So many people want to see me getting married. Sadly , it is not going to happen anytime soon. That pic was of me with my co-actor Mohini Shimpi. We have done a short film together titled To A New Beginning and its release date was August 17. I have no idea why people made an assumption about my marriage to Mohini. I started getting calls from my distant relatives asking me about the D-Day . Initially I panicked, but later laughed it off.“

Rajev was earlier married to popular actress

for 14 years. They met on the sets of TV show Parivartan and fell in love. The couple got married in 1998 and divorced in 2012.
