Two dead, six injured in bus-truck collision near Dungarpur

Udaipur: Two people died and six were seriously injured when a private bus collided with a stationary truck on Delhi-Mumbai National Highway-48 near Dungarpur early Wednesday morning. The deceased were identified as Girjesh Kumar, 23, from Gilola in Shravasti district of Uttar Pradesh, and Bharat, 20, from Katera in Bhilwara district.
All the injured were admitted to the district hospital in Dungarpur.
Bichhiwada SHO, Kailash Soni, said the bus was heading from Rajkot, Gujarat, to Uttar Pradesh. Near Baukhla village on the Bichhiwada-Udaipur road, the bus collided from behind with a truck parked by the highway. Since it was early morning, all the passengers were asleep.
Upon receiving the information, police and a 108 ambulance arrived at the scene. The bodies of the deceased were kept in the mortuary of Dungarpur district hospital. Police informed the families of the deceased about the incident.
