Two drug peddlers held in J&K’s Udhampur

Jammu: Two suspected drug peddlers were arrested and more than kg charas was seized from them at a checkpoint in Jammu & Kashmir’s Udhampur district on Sunday, police said. Doda natives Jagdish Raj and Kuldeep were on their way to Jammu on foot when the police intercepted them at Chenani, a spokesperson said. He said 1.13 kg charas was seized from the pair, who were arrested on the spot. A case was registered against them, the police spokesperson added. In another operation, police spokesperson said two criminals wanted in attempt-to-murder case were arrested from the Bishnah area of Jammu on Sunday. PTI

Two peddlers held, drugs worth Rs 40 lakh seized

In a major crackdown on drug trafficking, the Indore crime branch apprehended two individuals, Amir Gouri and Ayan Khan, seizing MD drugs worth Rs 40 lakh in the international market. The duo was caught during 'Operation Prahaar' while attempting to escape on a motorcycle without a number plate.

Five drug peddlers arrested in Coimbatore

In a recent crackdown on drug peddling near a school in Coimbatore, police apprehended five individuals, seizing a substantial quantity of prescription pills and ganja. The arrested individuals, including two brothers, have been identified as habitual offenders engaged in various professions. Authorities are actively pursuing a sixth suspect believed to be the primary supplier of the illegal substances from Rajasthan.
