J&K cops ban sharing of JeM video with actor's picture, film poster

JAMMU: J&K Police issued Monday an advisory cautioning citizens against sharing a "propaganda video" created by Pakistan-based terrorist outfit Jaish-e-Mohammed (JeM), misusing a picture of actor Saif Ali Khan and a poster of his new film Phantom.

The 5:55-minute video was released around 2pm, a police spokesperson said.

"J&K Police have outlined strict instructions for the public to not forward the video in any manner to anyone. Anybody who receives the video is required to report who sent it to them. The report should include the sender's telephone number, along with the date and time of receipt," the advisory states.

"Posting and forwarding such content is an offence under sections 13 and 18 of the Unlawful Activities (Prevention) Act."

JeM orchestrated the attack in Jammu's Doda last week in which an Army officer and three other soldiers were killed.
