NEW DELHI: A 35-year-old man was shot dead by assailants on a motorcycle in Jharkhand's Jamshedpur, on Sunday night, police said on Monday.
Santosh Singh was near his home on Gurudwara Road in the Mango police station area when he was attacked.
Singh tried to escape by running into a nearby house, but the gunmen chased him and shot him again. He suffered three gunshot wounds and was rushed to MGM Hospital, where he was declared dead on arrival.
SP (City) Kumar Shibashish and DSP Bhola Prasad visited the crime scene. The police are reviewing CCTV footage from the area to track down the perpetrators.
