SP Ashutosh Shekhar said the arrested juveniles are natives of the same village as that of the rape survivor.

The survivor's parents filed an FIR on Wednesday alleging that their daughter was raped by five village boys on March 12 when she had gone to a pond to take a bath.

"A case has been lodged against the juveniles for raping and sections of the Pocso (Prevention of Children from Sexual Offence) Act have been invoked against them. The juveniles were forwarded to a remand home on Thursday," SP Shekhar added.

(The victim's identity has not been revealed to protect her privacy as per Supreme Court directives on cases related to sexual assault)
