Jamshedpur: JMM MLA Joba Majhi filed her nomination papers from the Singhbhum (ST) Lok Sabha constituency on Tuesday. Exuding confidence of winning the election, 63-year-old Joba said, “The people of the state will defeat BJP in all the 14 Lok Sabha seats in Jharkhand, which include Singhbhum constituency, and will avenge the humiliation of Hemant Soren.”
She said, “The wide public support which I have received while coming here (collectorate office) clearly demonstrates that people are keenly waiting to avenge the disgrace shown to Hemant Soren by the BJP (central) govt.” The Manoharpur assembly legislator arrived at the collectorate office along with CM Champai Soren, ex-CM Hemant Soren’s wife Kalpana Soren, ministers and functionaries of the INDIA block parties. The five-term MLA will contest against sitting MP and BJP candidate Geeta Koda.
Meanwhile, the CM said BJP will get a crushing defeat in the Lok Sabha elections adding that in 2014 the Narendra Modi-led BJP came to power making false promises to the voters but the last 10 years of the misrule of the BJP govt has driven people to think wise and vote it out of power.
“The jumla party will not be able to fool the people again, it will lose in all the 14 seats in the state. In the 2019 assembly elections, BJP did not win a single seat in the Kolhan division, it will meet the same fate across all the 14 Lok Sabha constituencies in the state this time,” Soren said addressing a public meeting in Chaibasa on Tuesday after Joba’s nomination.
