Haryana police impose section 163 of BNS in one-Kilometre area around Data Singh Wala/Khanauri Border

JIND: In response to the call for a Mahapanchayat by farmer organizations at the Khanauri Border, related to their planned march to Delhi, the Jind police have gone on high alert. Superintendent of Police (SP) Rajesh Kumar convened a meeting with all DSPs assigned to duty for the farmers' protest at his office.

During the meeting, he issued essential instructions to maintain law and order for the event scheduled tomorrow. He directed all station heads, CIA staff of Jind, Narwana, Safidon, detective staff, and all chowki in-charges to keep a strict vigil on activities around the border area. He emphasized zero tolerance for negligence during duty and assured immediate and strict action against anyone disturbing law and order.

Apart from it, the district administration has enforced section 163 of BNS in the Data Singh Wala/Khanauri Border area. This provision prohibits gatherings of five or more individuals as an organized group, processions, demonstrations, marches, or carrying sticks, rods, or weapons. To ensure strict compliance, 21 companies of police and paramilitary forces have been deployed at the Data Singh Wala border adjoining Punjab.

These include five companies of central forces, four IRB companies, two HP companies, one Durga Shakti company, one women’s force company, and nine companies of district police. The police will monitor all individuals entering or leaving the area, ensuring no one takes the law into their own hands, said a police spokesperson.

A traffic advisory has also been issued, stating that the main route from Narwana via Garhi to Punjab will remain closed. Passengers are advised to avoid travel unless absolutely necessary, maintain peace in their areas, and refrain from supporting protests, said officials.
