Jodhpur: Addressing the fourth convocation ceremony of AIIMS Jodhpur on Saturday, Union health and family welfare minister Mansukh Mandaviya asked the newly graduating doctors to voluntarily serve in remote areas, without the government having to ask them to sign a bond to this effect. Mandaviya awarded medals to 22 students while about 780 UG, PG, nursing and super-specialty students were given degrees.
Stressing on the sense of dutifulness among all citizens towards the nation, Mandaviya said that the medical profession was not a commerce but a service. He also laid foundation stones of several facilities at AIIMS Jodhpur. TNN
