68 farmers felicitated on Farmer's Day

JHANSI: 68 farmers were felicitated here on Friday during a programme on National Farmer's Day held on the occasion of the birth anniversary of former Prime Minister, Chaudhary Charan Singh. Of these three farmers received state level CM's honour for showing their outstanding skills and contribution in farming.

During the programme at the Deendayal Upadhyaya Auditorium, a Kissan Mela was also held in which farmers from all over the district exhibited their innovative farm products. On this occasion DM Jhansi Ravindra Kumar said that the country's prosperity roots through the development of farmers and villages. He further stressed on innovation and new scientific experiments during farming which will help farmers to earn more. During the meet a direct interaction of the farmers with the invited agriculture scientists was also held.
