Adarsh Club defeat South Gymkhana

Kanpur: Adarsh Club won the first late Sanjay Dixit and Sushil Chandra Awasthi memorial cricket tournament when they defeated South Gymkhana by 6 wickets in the final tie held at the BCA ground here on Sunday.South Gymkhana, batting first, scored 7 for 152 in the stipulated 20 overs. Ashish Bajpai and Harsh Singh were the main scorers with 40 and 46 runs respectively. Shobhit Yadav and Ashfaq scalped 2 wickets each.Adarsh Club in reply scored the required 153 runs for the loss of 4 wickets with two overs spare. Earlier, in the morning Deepak Gupta, former president of JCI Kanpur inaugurated the final tie.
