Death threat to CSJMU VC, police probing

Kanpur: Vice-Chancellor of Chhatrapati Shahu Ji Maharaj University, Prof Vinay Pathak, complained he received threat calls from three unidentified numbers, four days ago. The caller, said Pathak, spoke in abusive language and issued death threats, following which, he alerted police. The university's security officer, Dr Raghavendra Singh, submitted official complaint at Kalyanpur police station. The complaint stated that on Jan 18, Pathak received calls from three unidentified numbers and the caller spoke in abusive language and issued life threats. Kalyanpur ACP Abhishek Kumar Pandey said official report was registered and said surveillance teams had been deployed to investigate.
