Meanwhile the out-patient department of LLR hospital is flooded with patients suffering from viral fever and showing symptoms of dengue, malaria and Chikungunya. Doctors are sending blood samples of these patients to confirm whether they actually had dengue or not.
However, the number of patients admitted in LLR's dengue ward is just 11. As per the last report released by the Chief Medical Officer (CMO), Dr RP Yadav on September 26, out of around 1,000 people who tested positive for the vector-borne disease, only 45 patients were from Kanpur.

said, "Two junior doctors from the medicine department of LLR hospital were suffering from fever for the past couple of days. When a sample of one of the doctors was sent to microbiology department, it was confirmed that he had dengue and he was soon shifted to ICU. Another junior doctor had shown symptoms of dengue and is also getting treatment in ICU.
