Names of Irfan Solanki’s 3 aides to be added in his gang for legal action
Kanpur: The police are also set to include the names of SP MLA Irfan Solanki’s three alleged associates — former corporator Mannu Rehman, Mursleen alias Bholu and Ajjan alias Ejaz — in the gang to take legal action, including confiscation of property, against them.“The police have started probing the criminal history of the trio and their assets amassed through criminal activities will be confiscated. Soon, all the three will be included in the MLA’s gang. The properties of these three persons, who have criminal background, will also be confiscated under 14 A of the Gangster Act,” joint commissioner of police (JCP) Anand Prakash Tiwari said on Tuesday.The police along with Irfan had already included his brother Rizwan, accomplices Israel Atte Wala, Shaukat Pahalwan and Mohammad Sharif in the gang. Illegal properties of Irfan and Shaukat Pahelwan worth more than Rs 20 crore have already been confiscated,” said the JCP further.Police sources said that former corporator Mannu Rahman is a history-sheeter of Moolganj police station. More than 20 criminal cases are registered against him in various police stations of the city.Similarly, Mursleen alias Bholu is a history-sheeter of Colonelganj police station, said police sources further and added, “More than half a dozen criminal cases including threats, attempt to murder, extortion are registered against him across several police stations of the city including Colonelganj and Rail Bazar.”Police sources said Ajjan is a history-sheeter of Kotwali police station of neighbouring Fatehpur district. “Ajjan’s history-sheet was opened in the year 1994. Six criminal cases are registered against him in Fatehpur,” they added.The police had invoked the Gangster Act against Irfan Solanki and his brother Rizwan Solanki on December 26. In the case lodged at the Jajmau police station under crime no: 156/22 and Section 3 (1) Uttar Pradesh Gangster Act and Prevention of Anti-Social Activities Act 1986, Irfan Solanki, his brother Rizwan Solanki, Israel Atte Wala, Mohammad Sharif and Shaukat Ali, were made accused.
