Officials close Kanpur accident spot
Kanpur: In view of the accidents caused due to the cut near Naramau on the 6th lane GT Road in the district, on the instruction of the district magistrate on Wednesday, a team was sent and the cut was immediately closed.District magistrate Jitendra Pratap Singh said that through various sources it was learnt that due to the cut near Naramau in the district, many accidents had taken place in which many got injured. Taking the matter seriously, assistant commissioner of police (Traffic) Akanksha Pandey and executive engineer (Provincial Section), PWD Anup Mishra were sent to the spot and the cut has been closed for the next three months. "This action has also been taken on an immediate basis, while long-term measures are being considered to resolve these problems. Soon, concrete steps will be taken to prevent accidents at all the 20 black spots in the district", the DM said.
