Kanpur: Olympic Regd Club defeated Kanpur Cricketers Club by 5 wickets, advancing to the semi-final of the second Surendra Singh Memorial T-20 invitation cricket tournament for V Guard trophy at Kanpur South ground on Wednesday.Kanpur Cricketers, batting first, posted 9 for 135 in 20 overs. Jimmy Chuk emerged as their highest scorer with 49 runs. Arjun Singh inflicted maximum damage, claiming five wickets for 19 runs. Olympic Regd achieved the target, scoring 138 runs for the loss of 5 wickets in 19.1 overs. Bhavya Tiwari and Aman Bhadoria contributed 46 runs each, whilst Nikhil Rao remained unbeaten on 34 runs.Kanpur South, in another fixture, outclassed Adarsh Club by 19 runs, securing their semi-final berth. Batting first, Kanpur South accumulated 121 runs, with Upendra Yadav scoring highest at 45 runs. Ravindra Kumar of Adarsh Club secured 4 wickets for 17 runs.
