Two die, three hurt in accident on Lucknow-Agra expressway
KANPUR: Two youths died and three others sustained serious injuries in an accident in Unnao district
The mishap took place when tyre of their car burst, and the speeding car turned turtle. The injured were rushed to the trauma centre in Lucknow.
According to police, six friends--Harsh Yadav, Deepak, Abhishek Verma, Shubham Rai, Prateek Gupta and Anuj Yadav--were on their way to attend a function at their friend's place in Lucknow. All of them are BAMS students in a private college.
When their car reached close to Baratikheda village of Unnao, the tyre of the car got bust, and the car driver Prateek lost control as a result of which the vehicle turned turtle, the police said. The police reached the spot rescued all occupants of the car and sent them to the hospital, said a police officer. During treatment, Harsh Yadav and Deepak succumbed to injuries while others are being treated in the hospital, the police officer added.
