Boy made to stand outside class over improper haircut in Kerela's Adoor: Parent

KOTTAYAM: The parent of a Class IX student alleged that authorities at Holy Angel’s School in Adoor in Pathanamthitta made his son stand outside the classroom citing an improper haircut.

It was also alleged that some other students, including those who were wearing sandals, were made to stand outside.

The parent, a native of Moonnalam, initially lodged a complaint with the child welfare committee (CWC). The issue was resolved later in the day after the parent and KSU workers held talks with the school authorities. The parent said that he will withdraw the complaint given to the CWC.

Meanwhile, the school authorities said that the school gave directions to students to come with short hair. They also said that if there was any fault on their part, it will be corrected.
