Cusat signs pact with HC for internships
Kochi: Cochin University of Science and Technology's (Cusat) N R Madhava Menon Interdisciplinary Centre for Research Ethics and Protocols has signed a five-year memorandum of understanding (MoU) with high court to provide internship opportunities to students enrolled in the integrated BSc LLB (Hons) Computer Science at the university.The programme, approved by Bar Council of India, combines legal education with computer science, aiming to equip students with expertise in emerging areas at the intersection of law and technology.According to a senior official from the university, MoU seeks to strengthen experiential learning and academic collaboration between the judiciary and legal educational institutions."The internship initiative is the first such collaboration of its kind in India. As part of the agreement, HC will offer internship opportunities to students, enabling them to gain practical exposure to judicial procedures, data confidentiality, legal documentation and the use of digital technologies in judicial processes," said a university official.
