: State government’s plan to administer homeopathic preventive medicine for
Covid-19
to children in view of school reopening has been opposed by a
doctor
before the
Kerala high court.
An impleading petition in the case filed by advocate MS Vineeth seeking a directive to administer homeopathic preventive medicine, doctor Cyriac Abby Philips has alleged that there is no scientific data to prove the efficacy and safety of the medicine.
Through the plea, he has also alleged that arsenic is a poison and can cause cancer, liver damage, and several other health issues. Medical journals, including homeopathic journals, say that Arsenicum Almbum 30CH causes symptoms similar to arsenic poisoning, the doctor has claimed in the plea.
Responding to advocate Vineeth’s petition for administering homeopathic preventive medicine, state government had informed the court that it has prepared an action plan to administer the medicine to willing kids. In-principle approval has been given for the project named ‘Karuthalodu Munnottu’ submitted by the homeopathy department, the court was told.
