Two held for theft at hotel

Kochi: Ernakulam Town South Police arrested two persons for theft at a hotel at Pallimukku on Friday. The accused has been identified as B Velu (46) of Madurai and Gireesh V V (46) of Alappuzha who tried to steal materials worth Rs 15 lakh from a hotel in the city. Police said the accused stole materials such as copper pipes of air conditioner, wires kept for electrification of the building and iron pipes from True Wealth Hotel . Police said the accused entered the hotel through a space which was kept open for fitting a window. The investigation was led by Ernakulam Town South inspector Premananda Krishna. tnn
