KOCHI

: City police probing the Abhimanyu murder case are yet to confirm the identity of the person who stabbed the SFI leader. Though police were suspecting Saneesh, the sixth accused in the case to be the killer, they refused to confirm or deny the same. Police team on Saturday said that Saneesh, an SDPI worker had supplied weapons to the squad member involved in the killing. Police also stated that witness statements have confirmed that Saneesh brandished a knife at the crime scene on the fateful day. It has been learnt by them that two others were also carrying knives during the clash.


He was picked up by police on Wednesday and he was remanded on Friday. Another prime accused in the case, Muhammad Rifa, state secretary of the Campus Front of India who was arrested from Bengaluru was remanded on Saturday.
