: A 29-year-old man was killed and three others sustained injuries after a car went out of control and rammed a KSRTC bus at

Muvattupuzha

on Saturday.
The deceased person has been identified as

Saneesh Devassya

(29) of Nirappel House at Kanakkary in Kottayam. Three others, including two women, who were in the car sustained injuries and were recuperating at hospitals.

Police said that one among the injured has sustained head injuries.
Muvattupuzha police said that all the four were relatives and were heading home after visiting Malayattoor pilgrim centre.
The accident occurred at around 1pm at

Thrikkalathoor

. They had come to Malayattoor hill shrine from Kanakkary on Friday and had completed the hike through the night.
Police suspect that the driver dozed off at wheels resulting in the accident.
Police said the car went out of control and came to a stop after hitting the KSRTC bus, head on. No one in the bus sustained any injuries.
Police completed the inquest proceedings on Saturday. Body will be handed over to relatives after autopsy, police said.
