Doctor dies in accident along Kolhapur-Gaganbawda road
Kolhapur: A 29-year-old doctor died along the Kolhapur-Gaganbawda road at Marali village in Panhala tehsil after his SUV collided with a truck early on Tuesday.
He practiced in a hospital in Kolhapur and also had his own clinic. Nandgaonkar was also busy setting up his new clinic.
A case has been registered at Kale police station against the truck driver who fled from the scene after the accident. “An investigation has been initiated,” a police officer said.
Owing to the impact of the collision the SUV turned into a wreckage. The locals rushed to the spot and called for an ambulance. However, Nandgaonkar could not be saved.
