CBI names 5 in Kandu murder charge sheet

Kolkata: CBI on Monday submitted its charge sheet in the murder case of Jhalda Congress councillor

and Dipak Kandu. While state police had arrested four of the persons named earlier, the rem- aining was arrested by CBI after it took over the case. Purulia police had arrested Dipak and Naren, Kandu’s nephew and brother, respectively, with the latter accused of being the mastermind behind the murder. Later, police arrested contract killer Kalebar Singh and trader Ashik Khan. Cops alleged that Naren had given Singh Rs 7 lakh to carry out the murder. CBI arrested
