Bidhannagar Police
raided one of them in the early hours of Wednesday, shut it down and arrested 15 senior officials involved in duping people across the world.
MET Technologies, on the 5th floor of Eco Space commercial building in New Town had been operational for close to a decade with 1000-odd employees working in different shifts. Cops said they had been allegedly cheating people in India and foreign countries like Australia, UK and USA on the pretext of providing tech support, selling websites, selling subscriptions and providing easy loans on mobile apps.
Police raided the office and arrested 15 persons, including some senior officials.
Hunt
is on for the chairman, director and other officials. “We had got the lead about the company from a Youtube video. We arrested the officials and sealed it,” said a senior officer of Bidhannagar Commissionerate.
