Passenger slaps Vande Bharat staff over mistaken non-vegetarian meal; fellow travelers demand apology

As per a report published in News 18, the incident escalated when the man was asked by his fellow passengers to apologise to the staffer. One of the passengers even hit him on his head.

As per the report, the man, didn’t check the clearly-labeled instructions on the meal packaging. When he realised his mistake, he got very angry and slapped the waiter twice in frustration.

In the video, the waiter is seen apologising for the mix-up. Other passengers, seeing what happened, came to the waiter’s defense.

One of the passengers hit the elderly man on his head, insisting he apologise to the waiter for his inappropriate behavior.


The intervening passenger told the elderly man, "Upar likha rehta hai (It is written on top)," highlighting the food labels that show if a meal is vegetarian or non-vegetarian.
