said Mazumdar’s death showed the BJP government in Tripura was a threat to democracy. “The death of a party leader is painful. I heard he suffered a cardiac arrest. The TMC will try its best to win the assembly polls in Tripura to reinstate democracy there,” Roy added.Party leader Rajib Banerjee said they had sought permission from police to allow them to submit a memorandum to Tripura governor Satyadeo Narain Arya over deteriorating law and order, and rising unemployment in the state. The governor, however, did not meet the Trinamool delegation.
